Pick a palette of two or three colours
The secret of a harmonious setup is a short palette. Choose a soft main colour (cream, white, powder pink), a supporting colour (mint, lavender, peach) and a brighter accent (raspberry, plum, vanilla).
Then repeat these colours everywhere: keyboard, mouse pad, notebooks, plants, frames. The eye connects them and the whole desk instantly looks thought through.
The keyboard, centrepiece of the desk
It is the object you look at and touch the most. A pastel mechanical keyboard in your colours sets the tone for the whole desk.
In the 3D configurator, match the case (white, pink or black) to your desktop, then paint the keys with your palette: light letters, modifiers in your supporting colour, Esc, Enter and arrows in your accent colour.
Three easy moods to recreate
- Spring softness: pink case, cream keys, raspberry accents, with light wood and dried flowers;
- Mint freshness: white case, white and mint keys, lavender accents, with green plants and plenty of light;
- Evening cocoon: black case, lilac and plum keys, vanilla accents, with a warm lamp and a throw within reach.
Light and textures create the mood
- a lamp with warm light rather than cold white lighting;
- soft textures: fabric mouse pad, light wood, ceramics;
- a few easy-going plants;
- a clear desk: a compact keyboard frees up space (compare sizes in our 65% or 96% guide).
Sound matters too
A cozy setup is also about sound. Creamy switches give a deep, muted “thock” that is very soothing, and silent switches stay discreet if you share the room. Listen to them in the configurator, or read our switch guide.
