The 65% layout: compact yet complete
A 65% keyboard keeps the letters, numbers and arrow keys, but drops the function row and the number pad. It has around 68 keys and is just over 30 cm wide.
It frees up plenty of room for your mouse and is easy to carry around. The F keys are still there through a function key (Fn).
The 96% layout: the whole keyboard, number pad included
A 96% keyboard keeps every key of a full-size keyboard: the F1 to F12 row, the Delete, Insert, Page Up and Page Down keys, and the number pad. It has 100 keys.
To save space, the blocks sit right next to each other: it is about 37.5 cm wide, roughly the size of a keyboard without a number pad. It is the right choice if you type numbers often or use the F keys every day.
How to decide?
- short on space, or after a really cute keyboard: go for the 65%;
- you type numbers (spreadsheets, accounting, data entry) or want the F keys at your fingertips: go for the 96%;
- still unsure: try both in the 3D configurator, switching layouts keeps your colours.

About 7 cm wider than a 65%, but nearly 7 cm narrower than a classic full-size keyboard, with almost the same number of keys.
